From lower Manhattan/World Financial Center, Liberty Landing Ferry is by far the easiest way to get to Liberty Landing Marina. From where it lets you off in the park/marina (by the big red light ship), it's a 5-10 minute walk west to K dock. Weekend schedule starts at 9:00a and last ferry back to Manhattan is 7:30p -- but double-check the schedule before making the trip.

Stations are at at 33rd, 23rd, 14th, 9th, and Christopher @ Hudson.
Weekdays: Take the Journal Square (JSQ) train to the Grove Street Station in Jersey City. That is TWO stops after Christopher street.
Late night/weekends/holidays: Take the Journal Square via Hoboken (JSQ via HOB) train. It will go to Hoboken first, then to Newport, then Grove Station.
Weekdays: Take the Newark (NWK) train two stops to the Grove Street Station in Jersey City.
Once out of the train, use Google or Apple maps and plug in the address above for walking directions. It's about a 15 minute walk.
